Feedback loops for personalisation

This quote from the headteacher of Cranford Park Primary School (Co-constructing learning) shows the potential for a feedback loops here we get to the heart of how to help learners next, “However, the real co-construction appears through the style of conversation and communication that the assessments engender. It is at this point that careful use of language, gesture and possibly picture support (note: many of the children are in the early stages of acquiring English) plays a powerful role… It’s the ability to ‘tune in’ to the child’s thinking, and then sensitively judge the point of entry for the ‘feedback loop’ that makes the difference. It is these two professional processes that create a context for co-construction.
